FAQs for Artists
Can I bring a friend to help me?
Yes, please feel free to bring friends or family members to help man your booth. Please make sure they are aware of our rules and regulations.
Where do I park?
There is free parking available directly across from the plaza and St. Anne Street. Please note parking may be limited due to the Plaza Series and other downtown events.
How do I load in or load out?
Information is coming soon!
Can I take a break?
Washrooms are available inside St. Albert Place. A volunteer will also be available to watch your booth for a limited time.
What do I need to bring for set up?
You will receive a dedicated area in front of St. Albert Place and will be sent those details one week prior to the event. We encourage artists to bring a canopy or tent (may not exceed 10'x10' and must be safely secured with weights - we recommend 30lbs per leg), grid walls and any other display materials. Artists are asked to bring your own table(s) and chairs. We recommend being prepared for all weather events with additional tarps or plastic sheeting in case of rain.
Is power available?
No, power is NOT available. If an artist decides to use a generator, they must have an inverter to minimize generator noise and must tape down all cables.
Does ArtWalk St. Albert manage payments?
Artists are permitted to receive payment from the public for goods and services sold. The ArtWalk Committee is not responsible for processing payments and all payment risks are assumed by the artist. A cash machine is available inside St. Albert Place.
Do I need a business license?
As the St. Albert ArtWalk is a special event approved by the City of St. Albert, artists may carry on or operate a Business (ArtWalk booth) without a Business License.
What type of art can I bring?
Artists are welcome to feature prints, photography, sculpture, paintings, handcrafted goods and art objects. Work must be created by the artist and avoid plagiarism by not copying or reproducing the work of other artists. Artwork which is offensive or denigrating to any group of people will not be accepted. The ArtWalk St. Albert Committee reserves the right to remove the artwork or request the immediate re-location or expulsion of the artist from ArtWalk St. Albert.
