The Bookstore on Perron
There will be four artists showing and selling their work at the Bookstore on Perron, 7 Perron Street, during the month of July:
Melanie Hsiao
Melanie Hsiao is an Alberta-based visual artist who specializes in pressed-flower art. She has been dedicated to this artform since 2006 and is a certified designer and instructor. Her works can be found at various St. Albert Guild Venues and the St. Albert VASA Galleries.
Artist Statement:
“Nature is the source of inspiration for my artwork. I paint light, air, movement and sentiments of Alberta. With a background of being a pressed-flower artist, I have the privilege to express my work with brush strokes and real elements from Nature.”
Pam Wolfe
Since a young girl, Pam loved art, especially pieces with lots of colour and texture. These elements are clearly reflected in her own art. Pam began seriously developing her interest and ability in art after she retired. Although she had some watercolour experience; it was a three week course in mixed media approximately 6 years ago that turned her passion into a dedicated avocation. She continues to develop her talent through local courses and Leading Edge Workshops by noted Alberta and Canadian artists.

Three artists will be featured at La Crema Cafe, 44 St Thomas St.
Susan Casault
Susan Casault grew up on a farm in central Alberta, and has had a love of drawing her whole life. An Alberta College of Art graduate, she now lives with her family on an acreage in Parkland County. Susan chooses events and images for her coloured pencil and graphite drawings that inspire her. The interplay between colours, textures, and gradations of light are a defining feature of Susan's drawings whether they be prairie scenes, nature studies, or portraiture.
Susan can be contacted through her website: www.susancasault.com by email: [email protected] or by phone at (780) 987-4727.
